STOCK SAVAGE |

As with most of our trucks, we just always seem to have to own two of everything. This is our second Savage we drug home. Found it while cruising the for sale forums on RCMT and had to check it out. The person selling was asking $200 for it less radio and servos. It had seen some use but was in overall new condition. After a few e-mails back and forth to the seller, it was our's. Once it arrive it needed some cleaning up, basic maintenance. It did have a busted up head (heatsink) on the engine so I snitched the one off our other HPI 21. Got everything all scrubbed up and just lacked a radio, a steering servo and receiver battery. Ordered all those items through our friends and NC Hobby. The radio was recycled from a car we once owned, it is a Futaba 3PJ of which is an FM PCM radio. Little more high tech than a stock Savage needs but it's all I had. This radio will end up in the RB Savage anyway. A couple of weeks after getting the truck, it was time to take it for a spin. WOW, runs like a brand new truck. Hopefully we can keep this truck pretty much stock as my Dad likes to drive the Savage trucks. He really grew attached to our first one until the S7 went in it, now he's kind of afraid of it :-)!
