RB SAVAGE

As you can see from the picture, this isn't exactly a out of the box Savage. After about a half gallon of fuel we decided it was time for more ponies. A few days later a RB S7 made it's way into the Savage along with an RB 086 pipe. Other mods include K&N filter, Dynamite fuel filter, stainless center shafts, HotBodies Silverado 2500HD body, upgraded steering servo and of course a set of wheels. The wheels are display purposes only, the truck gets a set of plastics for race day. We are simply amazed at how well thought out this truck is. HPI did their homework when designing and building the Savage. It is rather compact down the center as it has no main plate like most trucks do. Everything is sandwiched in-between the side plates. The truck is very well balance and easy to drive, and drive hard. Jumping this beast is a breeze with little to no throttle/brake input while in flight. Overall, HPI did a outstanding job on the truck. Now they even offer Savage SS of which is a kit and the new Savage 25 that comes with their new .25 engine! HPI is on the right track.
